To import an Excel spreadsheet in the AutoCAD platform is much more easier after the 2007 version, the excel table imported into AutoCAD maintains a link in between the original spreadsheet, so that as you update the Excel spreadsheet, the AutoCAD table updates as well!

Here are the steps to do so.

1. In the Excel platform, simply selecting the cells you want to link to AutoCAD. Right-click and select “Copy“. This will place the Excel table on your clipboard.

2. In the AutoCAD platform, go to “Edit” menu, select the “Paste Special” tag.

3. From the pop up dialog box, Select the “Paste Link” radio button, and then select “AutoCAD Entities” under the “As” heading.

4. In AutoCAD platform, left click the place you want the form to be pasted. That is.
